Invitation from the President

The 40th Scandinavian Society for Immunology meeting (2011) and the Winter School of Immunology will take place at Geilo, one of the best skiing resorts in the Norwegian mountains. The date is in the beginning of April, known for excellent snow and weather conditions. For alpine skiers and snowboarders, the venue offers ski-in ski-out, while cross country skiers can enjoy a web of prepared tracks!

But even though there will be ample time for skiing in the afternoons, immunology will be in focus in morning and evening sessions. Top notch international speakers will cover recent advances in adaptive and innate immunity, autoimmune diseases, tumor immunology, immunology of infectious diseases, and clinical immunology. The traditional Summer School intended for immunology students will this year obviously be a Winter School that will focus on immunology of vaccines.

Join us for a few days of excellent immunology combined with your favorite winter sport!

Best wishes,

Bjarne Bogen
